For as long as we keep marking and noting the passing of years, we will continue to count on hope that the numerical change of the counter will bring other changes for the better.
Because the alternative (nothing new under the sun) sucks the wind out of our sails.
So, on that sentiment, here's to renewed hope. The messiah is never here, but the messiah is always, and still, coming 🙏
Every New Year's Eve we celebrate what I can only call "Hope and Change." It's not the year that passed, counting blessings but also awfulness, but what we hope is the door to change.
If the definition of doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is a form of looniness, then New Year's Eve celebrations are forms of madness.
Call me crazy, but without hope I really would go mad.

new calendar year spells a new beginning; a new (or renewed) chance at getting
it right. A renewed hope that the faux-pas of the past would be left on the
side of the road, and the motors (echo-clean, what else) would propel smoothly
