On Miracles

To me every hour of the light and dark is a miracle,
Every cubic inch of space is a miracle.
~Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass

This is what occurred to me the other day, when I thought about the oil that lasted eight times longer than the mavens said it would.

Our very being is miraculous. If the holiday lights remind us of the beauty of life, the miracle of existing, and having the awareness to marvel at it all- the celebration is on.
Happy Hanukkah, one and all!

Happy Hanukkah! Lights are the very best part of the holidays- after family & friends, of course! Oh, and all the food. ;)

It's early this year! We just read through Maccabees in Nov. so it's all so fresh in my mind.

A Happy Hannukah to you. May you always have light and love.

Happy Hannukah, Mirka! Thank you for the beautiful post, and for the great Whitman quote. It reminds me that I need to slow down, take a deep breath, and enjoy each precious day.
