I didn't grow up in Christmas Country, or, as my grandmother put it, with Christmas-People. But I have no issue whatsoever with being
wished a Merry Christmas, because if you want to include me in your holiday and
wish me well, my heart is gladdened.
“Christmas,
children, is not a date. It is a state of mind.”
Mary Ellen Chase
My wish to all
is that on this Christmas Eve, and all the eves to follow, your children are tucked
in a warm bed, and all feel safe and loved.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings and stay safe and warm! :)
ReplyDeleteSo true, Mirka ... Wishing you the warmest of Christmases as you snuggle with your kitties.
ReplyDeleteGetting ready to go tuck my kidlet in right now. =) And a lovely pic. I'm partial to tabbies, having had one as my first cat.
ReplyDeleteGreat attitude, Mirka. In high school, I dated a guy who was Jewish and even though I'm not Jewish, I participated in every Jewish holiday that year. It was fun and educational. I loved getting to celebrate other holidays. I tend to just wish people happy holidays instead of saying Merry Christmas because no matter what you celebrate, I hope it's happy.
ReplyDeleteNice quote and a wonderful wish. :)
