It's good to get any kind of positive feedback, but I sometimes wonder how I've managed to get this far without selling ANYthing. So I guess they're caught in the dichotomy as much as writers are.

It's frustrating--believe me, I know!--but I think if you keep your ideal reader in mind as you're writing, then you'll know what the audience is for your story, and it will be both awesome and sell-able. :-)Anna Staniszewskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09316883819771607655noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7570512522741409033.post-18638807758261409902012-02-08T04:16:29.815-08:002012-02-08T04:16:29.815-08:00I don't write according to the market. They also said YA paranormal was flooded. Well, my YA paranormal sold on the first round and my MG, while in the hands of some great editors at the moment, hasn't been snatched up yet. So I say, write the stories you need to write. You never know what will sell.Kelly Hashwayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13936313159809041986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7570512522741409033.post-63658366165866807942012-02-07T18:38:23.547-08:002012-02-07T18:38:23.547-08:00I believe I would shellac that potato and keep on ...I believe I would shellac that potato and keep on my shelf as a reminder to do just what you said...
